In color psychology, blue represents peace, tranquility, relaxation and calmness. It reduces stress and is seen as a sign of stability and reliability. It is also the color of choice in the business world and symbolizes royalty. Blue has been making a strong statement over the past few years. My contractor told me when I was remodeling that the popular color pallet is blue, gray, and white. This season blue is also on trend in fashion. In this blog, I explore how I am rocking blue with items already in my closet and a few new purchases.
Weekend Chic
For a chic casual look, I like to pair jeans with a button down blouse. Button downs are an easy way to dress up casual denim looks. To keep the look more on a tailored style, which I always prefer, go for a paper sack jean and a trendy purse.

Sundress Season
Summer is my favorite season and it's the perfect season to bring out those spring dresses. I first wore the blue and white dress two years ago to my daughter's high school graduation, and I am pulling it out again this season (if we can get society back moving). I got the blue wrap dress two years ago for an island vacation. Both are perfect to make a comeback this season. Neither dress is available for sale, but I have found some cute looks that give the same vibe.

The Cocktail Party
This cute blue number is a sexy and sophisticated look for going to a cocktail party. Its classic details keeps the dress tailored while the low neckline spices it up. My dress came from ASOS, but is no longer available. I looked all over but could not find a similar style, so I have put together some of my favorite cocktail dresses I could find.
