Who knew when the clock struck midnight January 1, 2020, we would find ourselves in a year of working, teaching, and socializing from home. It's a lot of time around the house, and if you are anything like me, you probably find yourself spending some of that time wrapped in home projects and completing long-awaited To-Do lists.
Last April I renovated my bathrooms, gutting and giving them a completely new look that featured a minimal and rustic spa style. After doing so, I felt that the rest of the house needed updating and my master bedroom decor seemed out of place. Luckily, I talked myself out of tossing everything and repainting, opting to update the aesthetics instead. My goal was to create an ambiance similar to the bathroom: minimal, rustic, and fresh, using items I already had with a few new additions. I am extremely pleased with the results. I was able to update my master bedroom under $800 and without replacing my 15 year old sleigh bed I originally felt needed to be scraped.
For reference, I included my bathroom inspiration, which guided the color pallet.
